This tour is designed for food enthusiasts eager to explore Japan’s culinary capitals through street food, fine dining, and hands-on experiences. Each stop highlights regional specialties and cultural influences. Beyond tasting, travelers engage with Japan’s food culture through sake tastings, tea fields, and a food model workshop. This journey offers a deeper appreciation of Japan’s cuisine, history, and local traditions.

FUKUOKA    |    2 nights
Day 1: Travel Day
Arrive in Fukuoka and meet your guide. After a swift transfer to the hotel, take time to explore the city or rest up for the travels ahead.


Day 2: Fukuoka’s Flavor and History 
Included meals: Breakfast,  Lunch, Dinner

Start the day with a trip to Dazaifu to explore its historic streets. It is a place that brings together deep history with elegant shrine architecture. Eat your way to food stalls all along the approach. Sample things like umegae mochi, a local favorite filled with sweet red bean paste, and more. In the evening, visit Nakasu’s food stalls, where local specialties and street-side dining bring the day to a flavorful close.


Day 3: Hiroshima, Spiritual Islands, and Iron Griddles

Travel by Shinkansen to Hiroshima, then take the ferry to Miyajima to explore its coastal shrines and forested paths. In the afternoon, return to the mainland for a hands-on okonomiyaki cooking class. This Hiroshima specialty layers cabbage, noodles, batter, and sauces into a hearty, savory pancake grilled to order. A day shaped by island views, local traditions, and flavors straight from the teppan.


OSAKA    |    5 nights
Day 4: Osaka After Hiroshima
Included meals: Breakfast,  Lunch, Dinner

Begin with a visit to Hiroshima’s Peace Park , Memorial Museum, and A-dome. Here powerful exhibits offer insight into the city’s past and ongoing message of peace. Then board the Shinkansen for a quick ride to Osaka. In the afternoon, head to the Cup Noodles Museum to design and create a personalized instant ramen to take home. A day that moves from remembrance to playful creativity.


Day 5: Street Food, Sample-Making, and the Soul of Osaka

In the morning, take a stroll at Osaka Castle. Visit Kuromon Market for classic Osaka street food. After exploring the market, join a hands-on food sample making experience to craft hyper-realistic plastic replicas of classic dishes. A walk through Kitchen Street follows, lined with specialty shops catering to professional chefs and home cooks alike. End the day in Dotonbori to see the iconic site that defines Osaka’s nightlife.

Day 6: Crispy, Savory, Unforgettable: A Foodie’s Osaka

Visit Tenjinbashi Shopping Street, Japan’s longest arcade. Browse food stalls that serve savory and sweet treats alongside shops selling a variety of treasures. As evening sets in, explore the retro streets of Shinsekai.  See the glow of Tsutenkaku Tower lighting up a neighborhood known for crispy, golden kushikatsu: deep-fried skewers best enjoyed with a tangy sauce.

Day 7: East Meets West in Kobe

Start at Nada’s sake breweries, sampling local nihonshu sake before heading to Kobe Chinatown for street food favorites like steamed buns and crispy dumplings. Take a stroll through Kitano, where Western-style mansions reflect Kobe’s international past, then unwind with afternoon tea. End the day with the city’s most famous specialty, a Kobe beef dinner.

Day 8: The Taste of Japan

Visit Wazuka, where rolling tea fields produce some of Japan’s finest green tea. Then enjoy a bowl of fragrant green tea soba in Uji, a city known for its centuries-old tea culture. Afterward, take a walk around Byodoin, a World Heritage site with a rich history tied to Kyoto’s tea traditions. End the day with an exquisite Michelin-starred kaiseki dinner, a multi-course showcase of Kyoto’s seasonal ingredients and refined culinary artistry.
 
KANAZAWA   |    1 night
Day 9: Seafood of Kanazawa
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner 

In the morning take a ride on the bullet train from Osaka to Kanazawa, arriving in time to stroll through Kenrokuen, one of Japan’s most celebrated gardens. Then enjoy a sushi lunch made with seafood freshly caught on the Sea of Japan coast. Later, explore the preserved teahouses and gold leaf shops of Higashi Chayamachi, where craftsmanship and culture line every alley. This day highlights Kanazawa’s enduring traditions, flavors, and artistry all within easy reach.

TOKYO   |    2 nights
Day 10: Kanazawa to Tokyo

Begin with a smooth Shinkansen ride from Kanazawa to Tokyo, arriving in time to wander the food stalls and lively streets of Asakusa. Next, take in major sights like Meiji Shrine and the nonstop energy of Shibuya Crossing. In the evening, join a local guide for a bar-hopping and street food tour, diving into the after-dark flavors and personality of the city. Expect a day that moves through Tokyo’s many layers from tradition to nightlife. 

Day 11: Tokyo

Start the day at Tsukiji Fish Market, where generations of food culture unfold in every stall. The evening is left open to explore Tokyo’s neighborhoods, last-minute shopping, or a final taste of the city’s after-hours energy. A day centered on craft, flavor, and freedom to follow individual interests.

Day 12: The Journey Ends
