Who is this for?
This plan invites travelers to disconnect from the stresses of daily life and reconnect with themselves in the natural settings of quieter areas of Japan. Activities such as yoga, meditation, and nature walks provide opportunities for introspection and mindfulness. Indulge in locally sourced cuisine and relaxation inspired by traditional healing practices. As per sanctuary facility policy, in order for guests to enjoy quiet time for introspection, children are not permitted to attend.

Itinerary:

KOBE    |    1 night
Day 1: Travel Day
Arrive in Kansai International Airport. Transfer to a hotel recommended by us in the city of Kobe. Use this day to rest up or take some time to explore Kobe: Visit the Harborland, eat at Chinatown, or take the Ropeway up to Mt.Rokko for a city view.

Day 2: AWAJI ISLAND    |    2 nights  
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Begin your journey on Awajishima, a scenic island near Kobe, known for its rich natural beauty and attractions. Connect with nature by bonding with a horse amidst blooming fields, recognizing the healing power of animals. Recharge with a true farm-to-table meal at an eco-conscious restaurant nestled within a farm. Next, embark on a transformative experience at a zen sanctuary, engaging in meditation, yoga, calligraphy, and tea ceremonies, and culminating in a nourishing dinner.


Day 3: AWAJI ISLAND
Included meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Head south of the island, making your way to experiences such as perfume making and visiting a local craft market. Stretch your legs from the drive with a walk up to Sumoto castle ruins, which overlooks the town and sea. After learning its history,  rejuvenate yourself at the sprawling Ohama beach. Take some time here to let the sound of the waves heal you.

Day 4: TOKUSHIMA    |    1 night     
Included meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Stay at the Ryozenji Temple, the inaugural stop on the Shikoku Pilgrimage, after traversing scenic routes to uncover Shikoku's untouched beauty. Conclude your wellness journey with a serene temple stay at Anrakuji, dedicated to Yakushi Nyorai, the Buddha of healing and compassion. Embrace centuries-old traditions in this historic lodging, the first along the pilgrimage, providing spiritual solace amidst tranquil gardens and architecture.
