Itinerary:

FUKUOKA    |    1 night
Day 1: Travel Day
Arrive at Fukuoka International Airport. Fukuoka Airport is your stress-free entry point to Japan. With one smooth line connecting the airport to the city center, you'll be zipping into town in no time. Take the day to rest or explore Fukuoka’s entertainment district Tenjin or take a stroll at Ohori Park. Or, if you want us to take care of everything, let us know and we’ll get you a personal driver and guide to meet you the second you step out!

KAGOSHIMA    |    1 night
Day 2: The Journey South, to a Castle and a Japanese Garden
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Start journeying south where the iconic Kumamoto Castle awaits, a testament to Japan's rich history and architectural prowess. Indulge in a hearty meal of Kumamoto-style ramen before continuing to Kagoshima, where the tranquil beauty of Senganen Japanese garden awaits with a view of the active Sakurajima volcano on a clear day. Conclude your day with a delectable specialty unagi eel dinner, a Kagoshima local favorite.


YAKUSHIMA   |     2 nights
Day 3: The Forest that Inspired Princess Mononoke

Hop aboard a ferry to Yakushima, where you'll embark on the unforgettable Unsui Shiratani course, renowned for its mystical moss-covered forests and ancient cedar trees. This four-hour hike (including breaks and lunch time) promises a mesmerizing journey through nature's untouched splendor, offering an immersive experience unlike any other. Hike 7 km on this day. 　

Day 4: The Heart of Yakushima, Jomon Sugi's Majesty
Included meals: Breakfast,  Dinner 
Prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey on the Jomon Sugi Trail, a renowned hiking path on Yakushima Island, Japan. This trail boasts ancient forests, and notably the impressive Jomon Sugi cedar tree, among the largest in the world. Traverse through dense forests and stunning landscapes for a challenging yet deeply rewarding experience. Perfect for nature lovers and adventurers seeking an immersive exploration. Note: Be prepared for a lengthy 10-hour hike. Hike 20 km on this day.

Day 5: Yakusugi Land (Yakushima Cedar Land)

Take a breather without missing out on adventure! On the final day of your Yakushima trip, unwind with a scenic hike through Yakusugi Land's three-hour trail, adorned with majestic cedar trees. Experience the island's diverse hiking routes, immersing yourself in Yakushima's breathtaking scenery and ancient forests. After lunch at a charming local eatery, hop on a ferry back to Kagoshima, where you'll catch the bullet train to Fukuoka, arriving just in time for a delightful dinner.
