Day 2: The Northernmost Part of Japan
Included meals: Breakfast,  Lunch, Dinner

Set out early for a long-distance ride toward Japan’s northernmost point, passing through the famed Ororon Line along the Sea of Japan. The route is well-known for its wide, open roads running along the sea. With minimal traffic, the long and uninterrupted stretches let riders fully take in the changing coastal scenery. Continue past the vast Sarobetsu Plain, where riders often describe the road as a place to truly ride with the wind. Along the way, the striking row of wind turbines at the Otonrui Wind Farm, now a favorite among riders and photographers, adds to a day full of Hokkaido’s bold open landscapes.

ABASHIRI   |    1 night
Day 3: Riding the Road to the Sky

Included meals: Breakfast,  Lunch, Dinner

Ride through the Esanuka Line, a little-known yet unforgettable road cutting straight through sweeping pastureland for nearly 16 km without traffic lights or guardrails. Just sky, earth, and engine. The quiet clarity of the landscape creates a pure riding experience, free from distraction. If time allows, drop by the Abashiri Prison Museum, where original prison buildings now serve as one of Japan’s rare open-air historical exhibits.

KUSHIRO   |    1 night
Day 4: The Gentle Climb Between Hokkaido’s Twin Lakes
Included meals: Breakfast,  Lunch, Dinner

Cruise along the “Road to the Sky,” a 28 km stretch often ranked as Hokkaido’s top riding route, named for its gentle upward slope that gives the illusion of climbing into the clouds. From an elevation of 525 meters, take in two of Hokkaido’s most dramatic natural sights. See Lake Kussharo, Japan’s largest caldera lake, and Lake Mashu, known worldwide for its remarkable clarity.

Day 5:  Riding the Heights of Daisetsuzan
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Ride through classic touring territory where pastureland and alpine plateaus unfold along Hokkaido’s highest national road, leading to the famed Mikuni Pass known for some of the most commanding mountain views in the region. The route cuts through Daisetsuzan National Park, capturing the vast scale of central Hokkaido. A stop at the Daisetsuzan Kurodake Ropeway carries riders from Sounkyo Gorge to 1,300 meters in just seven minutes, revealing a sweeping canyon panorama from the cabin. This day is about climbing into Hokkaido’s mountainous heart.

OTARU    |    1 night
Day 6: Lakeside Roads and Seafood Nights
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

Depart Asahikawa and pass through Sapporo on the way to Lake Shikotsu. Take the Shikotsu Sky Road which is well-loved among riders for its views and occasional encounters with wild Ezo deer. After tracing the shoreline of the deep blue lake known as “Shikotsu Blue,” continue on to Otaru, where old streets and evening lights bring the day to a quiet close. Otaru is known for its charming canal district and preserved historic warehouses. Visitors often go for its fresh seafood, especially sushi and sea urchin thanks to its proximity to rich fishing grounds.

Day 7: The Journey Ends

Included meals: Breakfast

Wrap up the journey with a ride from the historic port town of Otaru back to Sapporo. Whether following Route 5 along the sea breeze or taking the hilltop views of Route 956, the final leg may be short in distance but full of character. End the journey with a swift transfer to the airport. Enjoy a swift transfer to the airport. Your next destination? Home sweet home. But remember, it's not sayonara yet, it's "See you soon!" The question is, where to from here?
