Tattoo-Friendly Onsens

Kinosaki Onsen is well known as a tattoo-friendly destination, warmly welcoming travelers with tattoos.

Kōno-yu

This onsen is known for its open-air bath with a garden view. Its name comes from a legend about a stork that healed its injured leg in the spring about 1,400 years ago.

Mandara-yu

A small hillside-view onsen where you can relax in peace if it’s not crowded.

Goshono-yu

Goshono-yu offers an elegant atmosphere with a palace-inspired design and a relaxing open-air bath surrounded by nature.

Ichino-yu

Famous for its cave bath, this onsen’s distinctive facility is a landmark in the town.

Yanagi-yu

The smallest of the public baths, it offers a charming and warm ambiance.

Jizo-yu

The second floor offers private “family baths,” perfect for travelers with children or anyone who prefers a more private experience.

Tattoo-Friendly Ryokan

Currently, we haven’t found any inns that openly accept tattoos on their websites. However, Kinosaki Onsen is promoted as tattoo-friendly, so it’s a good idea to check with your preferred inn.
