This Kyushu family tour is perfect for those traveling with children and looking for a relaxed pace. Designed to balance exploration and comfort, the itinerary features nature, culture, and interactive experiences. From vibrant city attractions to open landscapes, there’s space to move, play, and discover along the way.

FUKUOKA   |    1 night
Day 1: Travel Day
Arrive in Fukuoka via the Fukuoka International Airport and meet your guide. Well-connected to the city center, in just 20 minutes out of the airport, take time to explore the city or rest up for the travels ahead.

HITA    |    1 night
Day 2: Orchard to Onsen, A Taste of the Countryside
Included meals: Breakfast,  Lunch, Dinner
Head into the countryside for a hands-on experience at a local orchard. Depending on the season, families can pick and enjoy fresh blueberries, strawberries, grapes, pears, or persimmons straight from the source. Continue to Hita’s Mameda Town, a former merchant district. Browse the well-preserved buildings and shops line the streets. End the day with a stay at a traditional Japanese inn.

OITA   |    2 nights
Day 3: Hidden Waterfalls and Farm Stay

Included meals: Breakfast,  Lunch, Dinner
Start the day at Nabegataki Falls, where water cascades over a wide rock ledge, creating a curtain-like effect that can be viewed from behind. Continue to Yufuin, a town known for its small galleries, local crafts, and a main street lined with shops. In the evening, settle into a farm stay.  Get a closer look at rural life and local hospitality.

Day 4: Safari Adventure and Bubbling Hot Springs
Included meals: Breakfast,  Lunch, Dinner

Get up close to wildlife at an African safari park. See lions, giraffes, elephants and more and  roam in open spaces. Have a chance at feeding them from the safety of a guide tour bus. Then, head to Beppu to see the famous Hells, a collection of dramatic hot springs with boiling waters, vibrant colors, and rising steam. 

KUMAMOTO    |    1 night
Day 5: Wetlands and Grasslands of Mount Aso
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner 

This day is all about exploring wide-open landscapes shaped by nature. Start at Tadewara Wetlands. Have a leisurely stroll on wooden walkways through marshlands filled with seasonal plants and birdlife. Then, head to Kusasenri, a vast grassland stretching across the foothills of Mt. Aso, with grazing horses and views of volcanic peaks. 

FUKUOKA    |    1 night
Day 6: Walk Through History in Kumamoto and Dazaifu
Included meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner 


This day is a day of learning history and culture. Start at Kumamoto Castle, known for its imposing stone walls and dark design.  Learn about world of the samurai there. Then head to Dazaifu’s, a centuries old-shrine. The stroll there is lined with food stalls serving local specialties like warm rice cakes, freshly roasted sweet potatoes, matcha-flavored sweets, and seasonal snacks, with many vendors preparing food right in front of visitors. End the journey back in Fukuoka.


Day 7: The Journey Ends
