The J’s tour does not include flight, accommodations, activities (entrance and service fee), food, beverage and transportation costs. Additional fees may apply.

Tours are subject to cancellation in the case of hazardous weather conditions.

Tours are held solely within Tokyo, however if you would like to inquire about other regions, alternative arrangements can be made.

<Payments>

• 30% of the total amount of the J’s tour fee needs to be paid as a deposit when you order your tour. (NON-REFUNDABLE)
• The remaining 70% needs to be made one month prior to the tour.

<Cancellation fee>

• 15-2 days prior to date of travel：50% of the total amount
• The day before the date of travel：100% of the the total amount
• On the date of travel：100% of the the total amount
• Cancellation without notice(no-show)：100% of the the total amount

*Changing date(schedule) may also be subjected to the cancellation policy
* Any transaction fee must be paid by the buyer in case of the cancellation.

We had the trip of a lifetime in Tokyo. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. J Karr. From the moment we made contact at the airport, as well as over the next few days, Mr. Karr thought of everything. He immediately provided us with snacks and beverages to boost our energy, took us to wonderful "local favorite" restaurants, and aided immensely with transportation/navigation. Prior to our trip, we had contact around our interests and created an itinerary. This served as a guide and mostly represented research that I had done. There were certain activities where we were having such a good time, he made adjustments so we could thoroughly enjoy ourselves. This flexibility was greatly appreciated!  Along the way, Mr. Karr provided historic and cultural education, to help us have a deeper understanding of the locale. Most important, this left a lasting impression on my kids. Isn't this why we travel? During one of our sightseeing stops, I noticed that he was thoroughly enjoying the experience as well. J took us to generations old storefronts to taste homemade dishes and foods — crafted, family methods and recipes that were a true treasure to experience. And, he effortlessly ushered us to new eating spots not yet on the map! As we were traveling with our parents, he was extremely knowledgeable and savvy in how to quickly navigate the city and country, selecting the best means of transport for our needs. He customized our experience to ensure a balance of guided moments and on-our-own time. And, made all the usual transitions and interactions (of airport to accommodation, transportation to and from, reservations, etc.) entirely seamless. We’ve traveled to Japan many times before but J’s guidance and coordination brought such peace of mind — we were able to simply enjoy!

For over a decade, my family and I have traveled to Japan. We always hire a guide to escort us to various points of interest, but we prefer a customized tour, instead of something prepackaged. J., being half-Japanese and from Hawaii, has an inherent understanding of Western and Japanese cultures, and has consistently surprised us with off-the-beaten-path hidden gems. Simply put: J. is the best!

My family recent traveled to Tokyo Japan and had an incredible experience coordinated and led by Mr J Karr.  As soon as we landed, Mr Karr sent us a text asking how out flight went and arranged to meet us at our hotel.  He met us in the lobby after we settled in and took us on a relaxed walking tour and early dinner in the Shinjuku Kabukicho area.  For the next three days, Mr Karr met us at a prearranged time at our hotel and helped us navigate the electric city of Tokyo for full days of sightseeing, shopping, and dining.  We were impressed with Mr Karr’s vast knowledge of Tokyo and its surroundings.  Mr Karr allowed us exclusive access to several high demand attractions including Shibuya Sky (when it was already sold out) and popular restaurants.  This included a spectacular Omakase sushi dinner in Ginza , an A5 Kobe beef Yakiniki in a quaint Tokyo suberb, and a private room Yakitori experience. 

Besides these “one of a kind” dining experiences, Mr Karr led our family on excursions to the Meiji Shrine, shopping in the “name brand designer”Ginza and “high tech” Akihabara districts.  Mr Karr also made sure we didn’t miss out on popular Tokyo attractions including the Tokyo Tower, LOVE statue/Godzilla head in Shinjuku, Hachiko statue, and Shibuya crossing.  He seamlessly helped us navigate the confusing Tokyo train system between attractions.

An added benefit of working with Mr Karr includes his vast network of connections throughout Japan.   Even after our 4 day trip had concluded, Mr Karr was also able to recommend several highlights in the Kyoto and Osaka areas we headed to next.  He secured an exclusive Kaiseki reservation in a private room for us during our Kyoto stay.  He also reached out to the manager of our hotel in Osaka (another one of his business connections), to give us additional attention during our upcoming stay.

To summarize, Mr Karr provides a personalized service, with unmatched professionalism.  He carefully tailored our schedule based on our families’ interests, while remaining flexible and accommodating to our unique needs throughout our day (sometimes kids get tired and need an unplanned break, adults too).

Overall a “one of a kind” experience.  I highly recommend Mr Karr to any discerning traveler who seeks an insider’s view to Tokyo with a professional and personalized touch.
